Lago de como: Northern Italy beauty
Our next stop (after Milan) in northern Italy was Lago de como, north of Milan, and on the border of Switzerland. The lake is shaped like a man or women's lower body with Como and Lecco at the feet and Bellagio at the genitals. Bellagio was were we settled.
We drove straight to Bellagio on windy roads with the mountain on one side and a cliffon the other. It was quite nerve racking driving on these roads. The road could barely fit two cars and the Italian drivers were flying by us with little concern for our lives or theirs. Taller cars would have difficulty on these roads as the mountain side would sometimes hang over the road.
The difficulties of getting there are worth it. The views are breathtakingly beautiful. Besides the views, and if you dont want to take a ferry, there is not much to do except to walk around, relax, and eat.
I highly recommend Lago de Como for those breathtaking views.
